Contains over 115,274 citations, with abstracts, to the literature on social gerontology, as well as aging-related research from psychology, sociology, social work, economics, public policy, and the health sciences. It covers aging-related issues for professionals in aging services, health, business, law, and mental health; also includes selected consumer content.

AgeLine summarizes articles from over 200 journals and magazines, books and book chapters, government and research reports, dissertations, conference proceedings, gray literature, newsletters, and educational videos. Topics include demographics, economics, employment, health and health care services, housing, intergenerational relationships, social and family relationships, psychological aspects, retirement, transportation, consumer aspects, and leisure; does not cover clinical medicine or biological and physiological aspects of aging.

Searches can be restricted to research or public policy publications, professional/provider publications, or general/consumer publications by using the Target Audience index in the Advanced Search option.

CANSIM (Canadian Socio-Economic Information Management System) is Statistics Canada's database of time series (sequences of values of a variable measured over time, spaced apart at uniform time intervals) covering a wide variety of social and economic aspects of Canadian life. Topics include the system of national accounts, labour, manufacturing, construction, trade, agriculture and finance. As well, selected demographic and social data, such as population estimates and vital statistics, are available. The premiere database for locating articles in the field of sociology, Sociological Abstracts indexes some 1,800 international serial publications. Related disciplines include social and behavioral sciences, including anthropology, criminology, demography, education, law and penology, race relations, social psychology and urban studies. Also provides abstracts of books, book chapters, book reviews, dissertations, and conference papers.
Records added since 1973 contain in-depth, nonevaluative abstracts of journal articles. Many records from key journals in sociology, published since 2001, also include the references cited in the bibliography of the source article.
