SciTech Connect: DOE Scientific and Technical Information

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) has launched SciTech Connect, a new portal to free, publicly available DOE research and development (R&D) results. SciTech Connect incorporates the contents of two of the most popular core DOE collections:  OSTI's Information Bridge, and Energy Citations databases.
 

Documents are primarily from 1994 forward and were produced by DOE, the DOE contractor community, and/or DOE grantees.  Includes citations and documents relevant to environmental sciences, energy technologies, engineering, computer and information science, renewable energy, and other topics of interest related to DOE's mission

Includes online access to the 2005- book collection from Springer, along with select series back to 1997. Covers subjects in the areas of: behavioral sciences, biomedical & life sciences, business & economics, chemistry & material science, computer science, earth & environmental sciences, engineering, humanities, social sciences & law, mathematics & statistics, medicine, and physics & astronomy

Exclusions: McMaster has not purchased the humanities and social sciences titles (primarily Palgrave, 2016- ), or the Energy collection. Select imprints, and the 'Methods in' series, are also not included in the purchase.
