General Science Abstracts

Searchable abstracts of articles in scientific and related disciplines from over 280 English-language periodicals published in the United States and Great Britain. Abstracts of 50 to 150 words, describing the content and scope of the item. Periodical coverage includes popular science magazines as well as professional journals, and The New York Times Science Times section (published weekly on Tuesday). The database is useful for both the non-specialist and the expert. Types of materials covered include any of the following of at least one column in length: feature articles, biographical sketches, reports of symposia and conferences, review articles, selected letters to the editor, obituaries, and book reviews.
