Series 1
Manuscripts. – 1918-1973. – 4 cm of textual records. – Title from contents of series.
Series consists of manuscripts of McFarlane’s story drafts and outlines. These have been arranged alphabetically by title, where given. The contents of F.2 were only fully described after this finding aid was completed. They are different than the rest of the material in this series.

Series contains papers produced or collected by McFarlane regarding the titles, dates, sales, and publication of his works, as well as reviews of his works and profiles of him as an author in contemporary newspapers. Series has been arranged alphabetically by subject.

Series reflects McFarlane’s own personal life and those of several members of his family. Oversized materials have been collected at the end of this series. Arrangement has been made alphabetically by subject.
