Second accrual

"The Development of the North". First published essay, an I.O.D.E. [1918] contest prize winner. Haileybury High School. Computer print, 4 pp. The location of the original essay either in manuscript form or published form is not known. This transcription was made at a much later date. The essay is prefaced by a one page introduction, "I.O.D.E. Awarded Prizes for Best Essays to Schools in District". The date of the essay does not appear on the transcription; 1918 may have been written on a file label which is no longer extant. It is followed by remarks that Brian McFarlane made at his father's funeral, pp. 6-10. Also a photocopy of the first five pages; pagination does not appear.
