Fonds Description

McFadden, David, 1940-
Fourth accrual. -- 1926-1998; 1986-1998 predominant. -- 4.9 m of textual records and other materials.

Although slightly less disorganized than the third accrual, most of the materials had no apparent order. In addition, because of recycled use of paper, the archivist had to decide which printings were the ones McFadden wished to be archived.

Series 1
Correspondence. -- 1926-1998; 1986-1998 predominant. -- 1.65 m of textual records and graphic materials. -- Title based on content of series. (Boxes 70-79).
Brief correspondences generally have been grouped together alphabetically in one file followed by individual files. All first names that could be identified have been placed with their appropriate authors although some misidentifications may have occurred. Unidentified first names and illegible names are located at the end of series, as are unidentified E-mail, E-mail lists, and Internet newsgroups. Correspondence consists of both incoming and outgoing letters. McFadden uses a variety of pseudonyms in his correspondence (e.g. Slide H. Whistle, Genmai).
