Seripress (firm)

Seripress fonds. -- 1972-1981. -- 75 cm of textual records and graphic material.

Seripress was founded in Toronto by Barbara Caruso, a visual artist and poet, in 1972, although the first series of silkscreen prints created in 1971, was not released until 1973. The last Seripress titles were released in 1979. The press formally ceased operations in 1981. Seripress published poetry by Stephen Scobie, P. K. Page, bp nichol and David Aylward.

The fonds is organized into the following series: Published Titles, Unpublished Material, Correspondence, Business Correspondence, Reviews, Advertising Flyers and Short Lists, Business Records.

Title based on content of fonds.
Fonds was purchased from Nelson Ball in October 1987.
Finding aid available in hard copy and electronically. In addition, Barbara Caruso has written a two page history of the press.
There are no access restrictions.
Further accruals are not expected.
