Title based on content of series.
Series consists of letters, invitations, and cards received or sent
by members of the McDaniel family, the bulk sent from England by Bernard
and Francis McDaniel to their parents in Regina. There are many air
letters (aerogrammes), one airgraph, some envelopes without letters,
and many letters on plain, RCAF, and YMCA stationery, with or without
accompanying envelopes. Envelopes are not included in the measurement
of file extent. Some letters have passages physically excised by military
censors. Series has been arranged alphabetically by surname or corporate
name of the sender. Married women may appear under either their married
or maiden names.

File consists of clippings and tearsheets concerning activities of the
McDaniels and their Reginan friends taken from the Montreal Standard,
the Regina Leader Post, and unknown publications. Subjects
include P/O Bernard Heintz; O/S Charles Bazinet and his ship the corvette
Levis; maritime and Liberal associations; Regina Community Chest;
and Women's Guild, Federation of the Blind. One cartoon included was
perhaps originally an enclosure in a letter from Francis J. McDaniel
to his parents.
