Barclay, Langham was purchased as a refugee camp for Basque children during
the Spanish Civil War and was later used to house refugees from German
bombing.]
4th. from the left in print dress with a dark hat on the back of the chair
is Vera Brittain.
7th. from the left with a cup and saucer at his feet is John Barclay.

In the top image John Barclay, Max Plowman and Dick Sheppard can be seen
in the front row on the right side; in the lower image Dick Sheppard can
be seen in the front row, just to the left of centre.
