St. Monica's Anglican Church
St. Monica's Anglican Church (Niagara Falls, Ont.) fonds. -- 1963-1980. -- 16 cm of textual records.
Rev. Robert Adams was appointed rector of St. Monica's in June 1963 although there was not yet a church building. Services were held in James Morden School. Property was purchased at the corner of Adams and Caledonia Streets and construction began in April 1966. The first service in the newly constructed church was held on 11 September 1966. Over the years St. Monica's was linked with a number of neighbouring parishes. A declining population as well as problems within the congregation resulted in the closing of St. Monica's on 19 October 1980.
The fonds consists of parish registers containing statistical records, services, Vestry and Parish Council minutes, financial statements and other documents. Most of the fonds has been microfilmed on 3 reels, numbered 201, 224, 302.
