Fonds - Brief Description

Church of St. David and St. Patrick's Anglican Church (Guelph, Ont.) fonds. -- 1905-1990. -- 45 cm of textual records.

St. Patrick's Church was founded in 1908 when it was decided to hold services for the parishioners of St. George's Church at St. Patrick's ward while a new hall was being built. The first service in the newly constructed hall was held on April 23, 1911. This original hall was enlarged in 1925 by adding a chancel and sanctuary. In 1966 the old St. Patrick's Church was sold to the Boy Scouts of Canada and a new church was built on Speedvale Ave. and renamed the Church of St. David and St. Patrick's Church.

Fonds consists of parish registers, including records of baptisms, confirmations, marriages and burials, as well as financial records. Most of the fonds has been microfilmed.
